NU-PATTERNS is a fitness service focused on improving movement patterns through a structured approach. We guide clients through three phases: self-awareness, building strength and muscle, and enhancing performance and resilience.
What are the three phases of NU-PATTERNS?
Phase 1: Self-awareness - Focuses on proprioception, balance, and bodyweight exercises to develop awareness of your body and its movements.
Phase 2: Building - Strengthens the body through progressive overload, focusing on building muscle and improving the mind-to-muscle connection with external loads.
Phase 3: Performance and Resilience - Integrates performance, power, endurance, injury prevention, and dynamic control to create a resilient and capable body.
Do I need to have prior fitness experience to start? No, NU-PATTERNS is designed for individuals of all fitness levels. Phase 1 is ideal for beginners, while Phase 2 and Phase 3 cater to those who have built a foundation and are looking to enhance their performance.
How long does each phase take? The duration of each phase depends on your personal progress, goals, and commitment. Typically, each phase lasts between 4 to 8 weeks, but we’ll assess and adjust based on your individual needs.
What can I expect to achieve in each phase?
Phase 1: Develop greater body awareness, balance, and basic movement control.
Phase 2: Increase strength, muscle size, and connection between your mind and muscles.
Phase 3: Achieve better athletic performance, build resilience, and prevent injuries.
Can I join Phase 2 or Phase 3 directly? It’s recommended to go through Phase 1 to ensure you have a solid foundation before progressing to more advanced training. However, if you have a strong fitness background, we may assess your readiness for Phase 2 or Phase 3.
Do I need special equipment to start? Phase 1 typically requires minimal equipment, focusing on bodyweight exercises and basic props (like balance pads). As you move into Phase 2 and Phase 3, you’ll need access to gym equipment for strength training and performance work.
Will I receive personalised coaching? Yes, NU-PATTERNS offers personalised coaching to ensure your programme is tailored to your individual needs and goals. We focus on proper technique, progress tracking, and adjusting exercises to optimise your progress.
Can I train with NU-PATTERNS virtually or in person? We offer both virtual and in-person coaching options, so you can choose what works best for your schedule and preferences.
